A message from Big Train Founder Bruce Adams:

On June 1, we reestablished the Bethesda Community Base Ball Club (BCBBC) that John Ourisman and I and others incorporated in 1998 as the community nonprofit organization that built Shirley Povich Field, launched Big Train baseball, won a national championship, and raised $600,000 to improve youth baseball and softball fields from Germantown to Anacostia.

Thanks to more than 120 individual, family, and foundation contributors, we met our first goal of raising $60,000 this summer to position us for a successful return of Big Train baseball to Shirley Povich Field in 2021. These contributions will allow us to pay all the start up costs of reestablishing our BCBBC organization, buy equipment from BCC Baseball that we will be able to use in 2021, partially compensate our loyal manager, coaches, and trainer for a lost season, and hire Chris Rogers as our full-time general manager.

We continue to need your support as we prepare for the 2021 season. We appreciate and value your contributions that make it possible to sustain the Big Train baseball at Povich Field that we all love. See below to contribute now to get your season passes for 2021.

Stay well. Be strong. Roll train!
